Privacy Policy

Effective as of January 1, 2019

Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to the www.adapeducation.org website and ADAP and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to ADAP include www.adapeducation.org and ADAP. The ADAP website is an online marketing site. By using the ADAP website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://www.adapeducation.org/ (the “Site”).

Collection of Your Personal Information

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

– “Cookies” are data files placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.

– “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

– “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

ADAP collects and uses your personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services you have requested.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site).

Use of Cookies

The ADAP website may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize ADAP pages, or register with ADAP site or services, a cookie helps ADAP to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same ADAP website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the ADAP features that you customized.

You can accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the ADAP services or websites you visit.

We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
